To Trade or Not To Trade?

This was the only picture of Hibbert I could find in any Bucks gear at all. His stint with the Bucks was very short lived. He didn’t see the floor once, which is nice. Although my opening line was about Roy Fucking Hibbert, believe it or not, this is not the focal point in my post today.

With the trade deadline wrapping itself up today, I need to say a few things about the Bucks and their trade deadline history. The first awful trade came when we had a play-maker by the name of Ray Allen and traded him at the deadline for Gary “The Glove” Payton. While this may be the greatest nickname in the history of sports, Mr. Glove was just an awful trade for a future Hall of Fame player in Ray Allen. Plus, we all love the movie He Got Game and the fact that Jesus who was played by Ray Allen was just a Bad Ass. The Bucks traded a guy with the name of Jesus! What in the Hell were we thinking? We had Jesus on our team!!

The next trade was Bogut for Ellis. While we all thought Ellis and Jennings were going to be the next best thing, that clearly turned out to be a disaster. Ellis sucks man. To be honest, I don’t really want to talk about him anymore, so I hope your okay if I move on…

Tobias Harris for J.J. Reddick. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Now don’t get me wrong, I loved J.J. Reddick in college, but could you be a more average and completely irrelevant NBA player? Tobias clearly had an upside with his young age, size and athleticism. But good call Milwaukee, J.J. was fun.

The last one is Brandon Knight for MCW. This one is tricky because I was not a huge fan of Knight, and MCW was Rookie of the Year! Although Knight seemed to be on the Not Top 10 every weekend, he was a pretty solid Guard and after watching MCW for over a year, I can’t explain to you how much I miss Knight. MCW HAS to be the worst shooter in the NBA. For someone with his length, he should just be better. There are no excuses for how incredibly awful he was at the game of basketball. Honestly, I enjoy watching him now because its awesome that he is not on the Bucks and its fun to watch how god awful he truly is.

This year the Bucks had rumors about acquiring Rubio, Lillard and even a quick Melo rumor in there as well. While all these rumors were spinning on Twitter and Bucks fans got their hopes up yet again, did you really think that the Bucks were going to make a move? Even if they did, you know it was going to be an awful one. The new owners have been a lot better with their moves, but at the end of the day, we are still the Bucks and all we were able to do was make a trade for a second round draft pick for a player that hasn’t played.

Moral of the story; when the trade deadline comes around, stop freaking out on Twitter and understand that nothing significant will happen. And if it does, it will be significantly negative to our Franchise.

Lets focus on what we have and keep building. Also, Hibbert…you suck man. Thanks for being super tall and having a good few years and then completely melting and serving no purpose to the NBA.
